Proposed mechanics (MP, ΔP) computed directly. PaCO₂ is an estimate from alveolar minute ventilation scaling (now using the patient's live Vd/Vt when EtCO₂ is supplied); pH estimated via Henderson–Hasselbalch; EtCO₂ projected by holding Vd/Vt constant. Oxygenation response (PaO₂/SpO₂) is not modelled — trial and observe clinically. The drill-down triangle shows lung mechanics (compliance, resistance, PEEP) — Suggest targets assumes the lung is unchanged, so that polygon only moves if you edit Pplat, Ppeak, or PEEP directly, or choose "Prioritise MP" (which trims PEEP when it's high).

Evidence base & references
Thresholds and decision logic are derived from the sources below. Evidence grades are indicative — always apply local protocol and senior clinical judgement.
This tool is a clinical decision support aid for education and methodological exploration. It does not replace clinical assessment, local guidelines, or senior review. Entries graded Consensus represent commonly adopted values where high-quality RCT evidence for that specific threshold is lacking. Entries graded Derived are transparent display calculations with no external evidence base — their formula is shown so the arithmetic can be verified independently.
